PROJECT 1-

We were allowed to trace the originals as we needed to make sure we can get as close to the original lines as possible. I always thought tracing was the easy way out suggesting why I thought I can challenge myself a bit and try not to trace. I did think they didn’t look quite the same however, personally, I thought they looked quite good for not being traced. I didn’t trace any of the three.
PROJECT 2

This was my first time using a dip pen and ink. The fun thing about dip pen is that you have the control over the lines, if you go heavier on the page, the ink will be visibly more prominent yet lighter strokes are also possible. I was really happy with the way it came out, obviously it isn’t the same as the original but I personally thought it was pretty close.
PROJECT 3-

I personally found this one the most difficult I’ve never had experience with scraper boarding but it was really fun carving out the white pieces. I thought this work was the most Ismaily one out of my three and I was really proud of my final outcome.
AFTER FEEDBACK
After my feedback I realised not tracing could’ve been my biggest mistake as everyone traced except me and in my feedback I got told I should’ve traced. However, my last project got the highest mark as it did look very similar and the best out of my three attempts.
